About us...

We are an Isle of Wight based offshore powerboat racing team competing in Class 3B of the 2024 UKOPRA (United Kingdom Offshore Powerboat Race Association) series.

The pairing of Baylan Blanks (Driver) and Harry Pink (Navigator) 17 and 19 years old respectively is one of the youngest race teams the UKOPRA series has ever seen. The exciting pairing is based on a shared love for all things boating, with both of them working as Powerboat instructors at Island based RYA training centre, Bembridge Powerboat Training.

With Baylan’s experience in the testing of other offshore racing powerboats and Harry’s expertise within strategic navigation planning they stand a good chance in the upcoming season.

The sport of Powerboat racing has grown massively in popularity over the last few years; the addition of new live onboard cameras and trackers mean the sport is gaining lots more media coverage.

The combination of Baylan and Harry’s hours on the water stretches into the thousands giving them a great head start into the world of powerboat racing. Prior to the 2024 season Baylan has driven and helped tested raceboats such as Top Banana, Brut and Mango crazy. Harry’s vast amounts of qualifications as a powerboat and personal watercraft instructor will be an asset to the team when adapting to the ever-changing conditions.
